ThriftHouse | UI/UX Case Study
Background

This case study is the result of the Final Project Bootcamp Synrgy Academy Batch 4 organized by BCA and Binar Academy. This project was carried out in 3 months, from April to July 2022. This Final Project carried the E-commerce theme and our team got the E-commerce clothing theme.

  • Designing user interfaces for web and mobile devices
  • Plan and conduct usability testing to multiple users using Maze
  • Present the work of the design team to the Developer team
What is ThriftHouse?

Thrifthouse is an e-commerce platform that specifically provides quality used clothes. Thrifthouse it self adopts a B2C (Business to Customer) business model where the thrifthouse provides a place for sellers to sell their used clothes at the thrifthouse.

What is Problem?
  • Based on our interview, we found that people's great desire to follow fashion trends but is hampered by costs
  • People are hesitant to buy used clothes online because they are not trusted, doesn't explain things clearly and there is rarely a special platform for buying and selling used clothe
  • Based on our interview, we found Thrift clothing sellers find it difficult to cover a wider market, especially after the pandemic

Research Objective
  • Identify the user's experience and feelings when doing Thrift%
  • Identify the user’s regarding if there is an application for buying and selling thrift clothes%
  • Identify existing work systems in e-commerce
Research Goals
  • Understand user habits and problems during Thrift%
  • User perceptions and expectations in using e-commerce.%
  • Determine user problems through User persona, Point of View, How Might We, and Customer Journey Map.
